HIGH SCHOOL ATTENDANCE IS UPDATED BY 4:00PM EACH DAY.

Homework requests are for absences that are for 2 or more days at a time. All same day requests must be received by the attendance secretary before 9:00 a.m.


Parents MAY NOT excuse the following absences:
• Students who are reported present in class and then reported absent later in the day without prior parental approval.
• Students who leave the building or campus without checking out at the office for any reason including illness.
• Students who arrive to class more than 5 minutes late without a pass from the office.
• Students who skip one or more class periods during the school day. Skipping refers to being anywhere but in the assigned classroom without permission.


When a student is absent from school, parents are encouraged to call the day the student is absent; a parent must call the school before 7:45 a.m. on the day following the absence. Parents may call 285-7361 to excuse their student during school hours or call 285-7360 at any time to excuse an absence using the telephone recorder. The recorder is in service 24 hours a day!
