Q |
How do I post calculated grades to the Elementary Report Card? |
 |
A |
- Log into Zangle
- Select Gradebook
- Select Class
- Click Calc/post Marks tab
- Click Post Gradebook Marks
- Click Calculate Grade From All Available Tasks
- Click Post To Report Card
- When Posting Complete window appears, click close
- Go to step 3 and repeat for all classes to calculate grades
If you update a grade for a student, you need to recalculate grades for that class. You can Post Gradebook Marks as many times as you like to get the results you want. If you manually change a grade in Edit Marks for a student, you will need to change it again after you Post Gradebook Marks. Posting always over-rides any grades entered for Academic Marks (It does not affect Behavior or Comments entered)

Q |
How do I enter the same grade for multiple students? For Academic (Acad), Behavior (Beh), or Participation (Part) grades? |

A |
To enter the same grade for multiple students. This will fill the empty boxes in that column with the same grade:

- Select Class
- Click Edit Marks Tab
- Select Report Period
- Enter individual grades, if necessary
- Scroll to the bottom of student list
- Select grade in column you want to fill for all empty grades
- Click up arrow to fill grade to all empty grades
- Adjust students grades individually, if necessary
- Click Submit
- When Update Complete window appears, click ok
As noted, you can either enter the individual grades for students then fill the empty grades to be all the same, or can adjust the individual grades after you fill the column with the same grade. You can also delete any values and re-fill with a different grade if necessary.

Q |
I did not use Zangle Gradebook, how do I post grades? |
 |
A |
If you did not use Zangle Gradebook to enter grades, you will need to enter one assignment called Final Grade. Then follow the steps to post calculated grades. It will just take the one grade to calculate. You need to enter an assignment because at the end of the year when you go to calculate a final grade, it takes the gradebook grade, not the one posted in Edit Marks. |

Q |
I only entered a few grades in Zangle, but still have many I need to enter for the marking period. What can I do? |
 |
A |
Depending on how many assignments you have entered, you can do 2 things. If you only have a few, delete what you have and follow the instructions for those who did not use Zangle Gradebook. If you have many assignments, but can't/don't have time to enter the rest, just enter a grade in Edit Marks and go back to update/add grades later. You will still need to enter the grades so they calculate to the grade you posted. Remember to change the date to reflect the proper marking period where the assignment belongs. When the end of the year comes, the final grade is calculated based on the gradebook marks, not the grade posted in Edit Marks.
