This school our cooking club is planning a summer trip to in 2012 to New York.   We will tentatively plan for going within a week or two after school ends.   The trip will be a hospitality/culinary focus on restaurants, food service, and tourism in the local area.   It will include four days, including drive time on the bus. Details will be forthcoming within the first couple of club meetings.   The first meetings will also include election of officals.   Other primary goals will be to prepare for culinary competition, and to just have fun cooking for fun in the high school kitchen.   Another potential plan is to take a Saturday morning and visit Eastern Market.   We would also like to attand a local chef's meeting for dinner.

 Last year the cooking club went to Chicago for the National Food Show, and various other culinary visits in the city for three days.
