Spanish Club 2012-2013
We are a social club and we try to plan fun events that allow students to experience the culture of different Spanish-speaking countries! Here are some examples of activities we've done in the past: Spanish Scrabble, Fried Ice Cream Party, Day of the Dead Party, Halloween Walk at Greenfield Village, Holiday Nights at Greenfield Village, Salsa Dance Lessons, Mardi Gras Breakfast, Amigo's Fundraiser, Quesadilla Party, and many more...

We held our elections for club officers during the second week of September.
Welcome Breakfast
We had our Bienvenidos (welcome) breakfast on Tuesday, October 9th. Club members enjoyed donuts, cider, and chocolate milk free of charge.
Day of the Dead Party
Our Day of the Dead Party (Dia de los muertos) was on October 29th. We had Mexican pizza and made tissue paper flowers (which would be used to decorate the altars of loved ones in Mexico).
Holiday Nights at Greenfield Village
On December 18th, our club went to Greenfield Village and we had a great time! Students were able to get a glimpse of how Christmas was celebrated in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Que interesante y divertido!!
Martes Gordo Breakfast
On February 12th, our members celebrated Fat Tuesday with paczkis, chocolate milk, and orange juice! Que delicioso!
Just Dance/Zumba Competition
On March 4th, Dayna Petkov and Jacob Jackson won our Spanish Dance Competition!

We earned $125 toward our club scholarship. Thanks to all who attended!
