Welcome to Memorial Elementary School's Website!  Our purpose is to provide another way to facilitate communication between the school and the community in which we are based.  If you are already part of the "Memorial Family," we hope that this site will enhance and simplify your ability to communicate with the school.  If you are new to Memorial, or just out "surfing" for information about our school, we hope that you will find this Website helpful and interesting!  Either way, we're glad you have chosen to visit!

Memorial School is one of three elementary schools in the Riverview Community School District.  Our "sister" elementary schools are Huntington School and Forest School, and we do our best to prepare students in grades kindergarten through five to be successful and enthusiastic lifelong learners.  Once they graduate from Memorial, our students move on to Seitz Middle School, which houses grades six through eight, and eventually on to Riverview Community High School, home of the famed "Pirates," where students in grades nine through twelve study and grow.

A few years ago, in the interest of district unity, spawned by AdvanceEd District Accreditation, all five schools in the Riverview Community School District adopted the "Pirate" mascot and the school colors "maroon and gold." Each year, our Parent-Teacher Club buys T-shirts for students and staff to wear on "Spirit Days" and they offer for sale sweatpants and sweatshirts, so quite often our halls are "decked out" and "sailing the seas of spirit" in "maroon and gold Pirate style."  We have an extremely active PTC that meets once a month in the library.  For more information about the Parent Teacher Club and its many activities, please click on the "Clubs and Groups" tab, where you will find the PTC Link.

We encourage those of you who would like more information about Memorial School to visit other links on this Website.  If you'd like a specific question answered, please call the school-we'd be happy to talk to you or to arrange a visit, if you so desire!

Enjoy learning about Memorial Elementary School-we certainly enjoy learning at Memorial!
